New Jersey Small Town Vibes

I live a 200 year old building in Swedesboro NJ. It's everything you'd think it would be. There are bats in the attic and raccoons in the dumpster. I have a ghost in my room, but she only comes (in peace) when I have bad dreams. The building rattles so much from the passing traffic on this main street that things on my shelves eventually rattle enough to completely move from where I had once displayed them. My heater sounds like someone is opening the door when it kicks on and no matter how much it runs, it's always cold in here. And the truth is, I couldn't be happier. I haven't been this happy in ages. There's something to be said about a fresh start and a place of your own.

Today I ran to Target so I can “Boo” my neighbors. Lol I love stuff like that! I am going to pack up these little goody bags and leave them on front doors, but before I do that, I wanted to share a photo session I have been reminiscing about for years. We shot in beautiful, charming, adorable, Cape May NJ. It's a living movie set. I miss it soooo much! Especially in the off season. In fact, all the beaches are glorious in the off season and I was so lucky I got to live near the beach for every season. Ahhhhhh! Anyhow, back to thinking about old buildings, Cape May NJ is just a dream and so is this family who has been with me for many years. This is an oldie but a goody and deserves to be shared. It's the perfect time of year to catch a good day and make memories like these. Both this sweet family and I had to move away from Cape May and that's what makes these images even more special to us both. We actually ended up only a town or two away from each other after our moves. How cool is that!
