Hello, World
It’s been some time, eh? I confess, I do not like to be on this “thinking box” very often. (Thank you, Pierre Robert~WMMR Philly RIP) Ahhhh yes a Jersey Girl I am… But the big news is that I am not living in NJ anymore. At least for a while. Yes… Yikes!! I never ever dreamed that if I left NJ, I’d be somewhere where there aren’t any palm trees, yet, here I am currently in a frozen land called Ohio.
There are these three little birds here in Ohio that I love more than anything in the world. So I packed up my car one day last November and drove 10 hours until I pulled up into the driveway of my grandchildren's house. Let me tell you, there is no love quite like that of a grandma. (I am called Lala!!) It’s strong enough to help you leave all the life you once had behind and come to a place that was never even a blip on your vision board…. Elida, Ohio. Literally in the middle of nowhere. But I’ve seen pink skies through the coldest evenings, farmland as far as the eye can see, quiet country roads, and nothing but creative dreams for the spring season ahead in a new land.
I cannot give up my photography. Not at all. In fact, I am so excited for a fresh start here in Northwest Ohio. Specializing in family photography, children's’ photography and high school senior photography, I am so excited to start over this spring here in Elida, Ohio.
I do miss a few things about New Jersey, especially my clients. But I think after the last 4 years of struggling to find my way without my babies near me, I knew that I had no other choice but to let go of my "Jersey redneck" and become an Ohio redneck. Hahaha I’m just kidding. ;) It’s gonna be so cool here once the winter clears the scene for new growth. (And not just in nature… I plan on becoming the greatest version of Nicole Albertson Photography that ever was!!!)
So if you are in Elida OH, Lima OH, Wapakoneta OH, Fort Shawnee OH, Bluffton OH, or any area of Northwest Ohio, there’s so many adventures to be had! Email me and we can plan the best day ever together. nicki@imagesbynicki.com
A few weeks before I left for Ohio, I did a very special photo session, I will never forget this wonderful evening with my family. Warm air, the colors of earth proudly showing off, and the hope of a new baby about to arrive.
