So it's 16 degrees out right now. Yep 16. I don't even want to go outside so I put on my coziest pajamas to write and work at my computer. It's only January 5th and here we are in the doldrums already? I always feel like I need a break right after busy season but I like the kind of break where you could actually do a personal project if you wanted. Hahaha but you can't even pay me to go outside today or tomorrow. Sitting here going through the sessions that I didn't blog yet and I have to say, while it may be in the teen digits right now, when it really mattered, we were the luckiest people around. So many family photos this season got to be made with no coats, and cute outfits all the way through December really. Only our holiday mini sessions got blasted with a cold snap. The rest of our photo shoots went so perfectly! I feel grateful for that little blessing. Now that I look back, I think I love my job even more. And this super slow week is kinda nice although I am going stir crazy. Lol!
This was a fun photo shoot in Batsto Village. I think I love it when clients have never been to Batsto. This adorable family was in awe around every turn. Photographers so easily forget how awesome it is there when we shoot there so often but to think about how this family saw it for the first time is just so cool. All the historic buildings and pathways, we really explored for this session because they had never seem any of it! It was a blast. I always say that but I truly have such fun every time I go out on a shoot. And that makes me so excited for spring now! Lol...... 55 days to go.
