Have you ever had one of those years where you are so mixed up about how to feel about it? This has been one of the most busy, most creative wonderful years for my photography business and I have loved the growth and success that I have seen this season. And on the other hand, this has been one of the most busy and stressful years I have been through as well. With a couple personal battles (health-wise) and milestones, I have had a doozie of a year keeping up with all the good things in my business. June, July and August were the busiest summer months I have seen yet! But this month my “baby” girl moves away to college and I am a wreck over it. It's one of those things where you are super excited for your child but your momma-heart is just dying inside. I made a mistake in not taking time off for this emotional time, but I am also thinking that keeping this busy could be good for me! I have an awful lot coming up. I just wanted to check in with y'all and say that I know it looks like I have fallen off the face the earth but I have not, in fact I have made some of the most incredible images of my life. And I am so super excited to share it all. I will be working through the next few weeks with a few days off in between to get my daughter settled in her new town. So if you see me and my eyes look like I have been crying.... well..... lol I bet I have been.
And to brighten your day and mine, here is a photo shoot I had at my old amazing stomping ground, Berlin Park NJ! Oh how I had missed that place! It is very different now, a storm rolled through a couple years ago and took out a ton of trees. But that glow was still there.... Oh yes. My client knows how to style a session and all the pieces fit just right for this adorable family photo session in Berlin Park NJ. I am in love with these! I was known for my children's photography for many years, but I think family photography is becoming my thang. And now especially that I am one of those people who has experienced how fleeting our family moments are, I want to save every last one of these minutes for everyone I meet. It's incredible to know I will be a part of your lives for hundreds of years to come.
